Writers! We know it’s really tough out there right now and also that a lot of you are looking for places to pitch. So: pitch us!
We’re raising our freelance rates effective immediately and accepting more off-theme submissions as well, provided they’re related to movies in some way.
Not a typo: we are RAISING our writing rates. Our “unorthodox” model since 2013 has actually put us in a position now where we aren’t impacted at all by ad revenue loss or office closures or no new movies being in theaters. So we’re going all in on investing in writers/writing.

Rate depends on the piece/scope/relevance, but the general rate range will be increasing to a range of $100-$300 per piece. Any one is free to email us directly with a pitch or essay for more specific rate discussions and we're happy to talk details.
