We are a new publication dedicated to reporting on abuses of power in news deserts and underrepresented communities across the United States. As alternative facts spread and the truth is called fake news; as local accountability reporting disappears; as news organizations prioritize quantity over quality and access over integrity, we know we need something better.
For our first issue, I'm looking for great stories that shed light on abuses of power—stories that are falling through the cracks as great news outlets are gutted or shut down across the country.
