We're still eager for great freelance work. Pitch me provocative reporting and commentary illuminating the ways forward on complex subjects.
PAYMENT: Pay ranges with the amount of reporting in a piece. A typical newspaper op-ed pays $250. A first-person essay is generally $400 or so. We do pay around $1 a word for more in-depth reported pieces.
