Your regular reminder that we're open to hearing movie pitches. Never written for us before? Doesn't matter. Email me if you've got something that fits.
LOCATION: This is open to writers all over the world. We are predominantly a UK site though so we have to abide by UK release dates/Netflix UK availability and the like, so it's unlikely that we'd cover a smaller release that's only available in the US, for instance.
COMPENSATION: We pay for all freelancer contributions. Our standard feature rate is £60, but that can vary (only upwards) depending on time scale, exclusivity etc. It's unlikely we'd ever go past £100 for something though, so you're looking more in the £60 to £80 range.
The plus side of the flat rate is that we don't really have word counts, we go by what the writer feels works for the article. Usually this means they end up in the 500-700 words bracket, but we've published shorter (likely 400 is the lowest) and longer, but we don't ask this of writers to go longer than they feel.
