Due to an extended tax season, we're presently seeking several freelance tax blog writers with extensive experience in the tax preparation, accounting, or government subsidy space to craft compelling content around US tax regulations, business accounting best practices, the financial impact from the pandemic, and other timely industry topics.
We are targeting candidates who also have personal experience working in the accounting sector, teaching relevant courses, or holding a similar position that provides them with the authority to convey advice on tax and accounting issues.
Additionally, we will be looking to promote top candidates to a "Professional Editor" role after October 2020.
The writer staffed to this position would need to produce 6-8 blog posts per month, at approximately 600 words per post, on topics surrounding the individual and business tax preparation industry. Specific post topics will be provided in a monthly editorial calendar along with a list of relevant SEO keywords that will need to be incorporated into each post.
CANDIDATES MUST:
- Be well-versed in IRS, accounting, and tax terms and trends;
- Have experience writing for a diverse audience from experts to novices;
- Be able to simplify complex topics into layman’s terms;
- Have an engaging yet authoritative writing style;
- Be able to speak from a position of authority/experience in the field;
- Have experience in writing for marketing purposes.
This freelance position is open to qualified remote writers (worldwide) who can accept PayPal payments, or direct deposit payments ACH (if working within the U.S.)
