Some publications still have freelance budgets, so now's a good time to send pitches. My inbox is open to Black writers focused on health and wellness, and if I can't accept your pitch, I'll help edit and/or find a publication (and editor) that might.
The rates vary GREATLY, but I usually start them at around $250 for smaller stories, with rates increasing as story word count/need for sources does.
