We look for pitches in the 800-1000 word range—op-eds focusing on macro level ideas and policies especially politics, healthcare, economics, climate change, labor/worker rights, and tech.
Rates for freelancers are minimum $300 for a single byline and $250 apiece for a multi-byline. Typically we pay between $400 and $600 per piece, depending on length. Pieces that require original reporting or in depth research can go higher.
