I am looking for additional collaborative writers on board for the project. The call below includes information on the project.
Also, while stated in the doc, it's important to say I'll only be taking applications from transgender applicants as the project is heavily about trans themes.
The deadline for sending in pitches is July 12th, Sunday. I'll be making a decision over the following week on who to accept after that.
WRITER CALL
This is only open to people under the trans identity umbrella, as this is a project heavily about trans themes.
JOB: Penning a 1000 word “arc” which will be a setting/story expansion to the base game. Reading the base game would be preferred and can be sent to you for free if needed.
The following checklist is needed.
Important: Do not write the setting before you are accepted and the kickstarter is successful. I don’t want anyone putting themselves out for work if not needed.
- Two D8 Tables-one of which includes trans narrative stuff while the other contains setting elements/plots for that issue in the arc’s story/theme of superheroic stuff.
- A brief exploration and summary of the setting.
- Any additional mechanics that would need to be added.
- The ability to have your arc be the last one in a game being played.
- Content Warnings for potential upsetting topics the setting crosses into.
- Touchstones for the setting.
You can include new features or additions for your Arc as long as it’s run by the rest of the team and approved by me.
Payment: 25c/per word. Minimum of 250 euro if Kickstarter is successful.
Suggested Arcs: These are the arcs that have been pre thought of by members of the team. If you have new ideas for a potential setting, feel free to run them by when pitching.
- Tournament Arc
- A Future Arc where the character is a grown hero
- A “Fighting against a corrupt institution” arc.
- An AU “What if you were a villain” arc.
- Coming Out To Your Chosen Family arc.
Requirements: There are no formal requirements to apply. All that is needed is a reference to previous creative writing work that could be applicable to this job.
Thank you. Send all pitches with the following information:
- Name/Pronouns/Twitter Handle (Last is optional)
- Creative writing work examples.
- Which Arc you would like to take.
- Any additional info you feel I should know.
