For a few years now, I’ve been talking about wanting to publish a  greater range of voices. Multipotentialites from different  backgrounds should be able to see their experiences reflected on the  site. And the ease with which one can build a life and career around  multiple passions is, without question, impacted by opportunity and  privilege.

Although we’ve made some small shifts toward  featuring a greater diversity of voices, we haven’t done enough. And  for this, I apologize.

The goal of making our publication more diverse and inclusive can’t keep being something we push into the  future. We need to do better now.

We were planning on  hiring a couple new writers with the launch of the revamped site this  summer, but we’ve decided to move up that search.

A CALL FOR REGULAR CONTRIBUTORS

We’re looking for 1-2 writers to join our writing team. This position pays $200 USD/month for one article per month.

Do  you think your unique perspective could bring something new to the publication? Are you always brimming with new ideas that you want to share  with our eclectic community? We are looking for writers who want to  share experiences, advice and observations about how to embrace your  many passions and thrive as a multipotentialite in the modern world.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:

• Demonstrated success with regular online or print publishing
• An established knowledge of the tone and content of our publication
• Great editing skills (When you submit an article, there should be very little to correct in terms of spelling and grammar.)
• Ability to gracefully handle constructive criticism and use it towards growth

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As our writer,  you’ll submit one 1000-1500 word article per month. Our managing editor  will offer feedback and suggestions, if revisions are necessary. Once  your article is published, you’ll be responsible for replying to  comments from readers for that week. You’ll also attend our monthly team  meetings (which are usually a blast!) where writers and  editors brainstorm article ideas and themes together.

A  short bio and headshot will be included at the bottom of every  published article you write, and you are welcome to include a link to  your website and/or social media profiles in your bio.
