We are a fast-growing China-focused (the US-listed Chinese stocks) media company looking for a financial writer with experience in generating original story ideas, making new sources and quickly picking up financial information.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have at least one year of financial reporting experience. Knowledge and/or interest in Chinese markets and equities is a plus. We are trying to make it easy for both nonfinancial and financial people to be able to read and grasp easy financial stories conveyed to them.
- You must be dynamic and be able to summarize company-related news.The ideal candidate for this position will be able to digest numbers and information quickly and turn them into a story for a diverse mix of sophisticated market professionals around the world.
- This freelance reporter should have experience, ideally with a background covering business and financial news.
- The is a remote freelance position.
- Pay is per article (looking for one to three stories per week). 100 to $200 per 500 word article depending on experience.
- This is an exciting opportunity to work for a small-knit, fast paced team.
- Opportunity to transition from freelance to staff position.
