The Copywriter position is best for someone who has experience writing persuasive (sales or direct response) copy that has generated qualified leads and sales for services and/or products. ** This is different from “content writing.” ** The copywriter who will be best for this role is someone who likes the idea of applying his / her expertise across a variety of markets and businesses.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reading our training page, collaborate / delegate to other team members, and follow our process
Write clear and compelling copy for the following: Short Optin Landing page, Lead magnet, Long-Form Landing/Sales page, Email Follow-up sequence (3 emails with 500 words maximum/email), Pop-up and Ads (Facebook, Google)
Edit existing copy, like rewriting headlines or editing copy for a landing page/sales page/home page in Google documents.
You are also responsible for filling out a simple daily checklist showing that you checked-in to see if new copy tasks were assigned to you, as well as always proofreading your work for errors
Attend daily team sync-ups at 1030am EST, Monday - Friday
Attend weekly team meets via video on Tuesdays at 3pm EST and participate with constructive ideas and contribute with ideas for how to improve your workflow

REQUIREMENTS

Native US English speaker / writer
Must have a reliable, stable internet connection
Reliable, diligent and self-directed. Must be able to turn around quality (error-free) copy within a consistent time-frame
Does not “milk” the word count (i.e. puts the client, quality of the copy, and desire to get results with minimal revisions first)
Must be comfortable learning and using new software (we use our own simple project management software) and enjoy working within a proven process
Not a requirement but a PLUS if you have any broader digital marketing knowledge or experience, e.g. knowledge of sales funnels, lead generation, digital marketing, conversion optimization, or AB testing
Client-focused attitude but also able to follow diligently specific directions each week via checklists, templates, and other instructional media used to operate the business
Must be reliable, diligent and enjoy having a position where staying organized and communicating clearly is key
Must be available to work during company business hours i.e. between 9am and 5pm EST (New York Time)
Must complete a skill test and 2-week training as documented on our wiki, as given by our assistant

COMPENSATION

We pay based on the task assigned and completed. Payments are made through PayPal on the 1st and 15th of the month. Larger (higher word count) tasks also pay more.

Depending on your writing skill and turnaround time, you can finish most tasks in 1 to 3 hours (long-form lead magnets PDFs will be an exception). Copywriters earn between $20-$50/hour on the average.

A qualified US-based copywriter working part-time earns over $2,000 / month (on average) with us.
