MARKETING SPECIALIST, COPYWRITING AND CONTENT (6 MONTH CONTRACT)

OpenTable is seeking a content marketing specialist with 3+ years experience in marketing, copywriting, and editorial writing with a strong connection to the restaurant industry. This person will focus on developing impactful content to aid in guiding diners to the best of what’s on OpenTable. The ideal candidate has experience working in the restaurant or food industry or in food publications and has a passion for the food and restaurant world that is equal to their passion for storytelling and digital content. They will be responsible for writing content that highlights our many restaurants across our consumer marketing channels, including emails, social media, and the blog.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Copywriting for mass email marketing sends
Ideating consumer marketing emails and helping to craft an email strategy that highlights consumer content, product innovation, marketing campaigns, partnerships, and bookings
Brainstorming and writing for the consumer blog and social media, including guides, restaurant spotlights, industry roundups, columns, product announcements, marketing campaigns, and partnerships
Frequently partnering with design and content teams for brand packaging of content
Measuring the results of marketing activity to inform future marketing campaigns and content
Working cross-functionally with global teams and functions, including design, product, product marketing, and restaurant marketing

REQUIREMENTS

Experience writing for email, blog, or social media at a consumer brand or publication
Experience copywriting email content and knowledge of email marketing best practices
Experience crafting content that will help drive SEO value
Airtight writing skills
Ability to curate content for consumer marketing channels
Ability to strategically translate market research and data into brand language and stories
Strong awareness of the restaurant community and overall food world lover
Proficiency of WordPress
Strong organizational skills and an ability to balance multiple projects
Willingness to roll up your sleeves, hop in, and learn on any new content project
Proactive, organized, and hardworking
Healthy sense of humor
