Resume Writer wanted | ~$230 per project

COMPANY/PUBLICATION: RED PEN WENCH 

Red Pen Wench is a writing, tutoring, and editing business specializing in resume and cover letter services. The business was established in 2014 and has since accumulated five-star reviews on Yelp, Etsy, Thumbtack, and Facebook from clients in a variety of professions from all over the world. We are now seeking an additional associate writer and editor to help serve our growing client base.

This position requires an experienced writer and editor ready to accept 3-8 freelance projects per month and willing to undergo some training to jive with our business style. Projects would include resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn writing, copy-editing, and design.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Accept projects including resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn writing, copy-editing, and design (utilizing one of our custom templates designed for Microsoft Word or Google Docs).

Occasionally help with management of Yelp, Instagram, and Facebook pages.

Assist with fielding calls and emails regarding Red Pen Wench services.

Provide job seekers with prompt edits and revisions of their documents, maintain project deadlines, and communicate project status to job seekers.

KEY SKILLS

Expert command of writing and grammar in order to create and/or edit resume and cover letter content utilizing Red Pen Wench's framework.

Strong interpersonal communication skills to connect with clients and understand their requests, career history, and objectives.

Tech-savvy and highly skilled with Microsoft Word, Google Docs, G-mail, etc.

Amicable, energetic, and positive personality with the ability to motivate and encourage clients throughout the process.

REQUIREMENTS

Four-year degree in related field and/or certification from one of the major career organizations (NRWA, CDI, CPRW, CRS etc.).

At least 1-2 years of resume writing experience.

SALARY

Freelance writer will receive 70% of the total project price (i.e. a standard resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn package is $330, so freelancer would receive $231). Freelancer may accept or turn down projects based on availability. Training will take place via Zoom and work will all be completed remotely at the convenience of the freelancer so long as projects deadlines are met.
