Nashville is a diverse city, and we want a pool of freelance contributors who reflect that diversity. We're looking for new freelancers, and we particularly want to encourage writers of color & LGBTQ writers to pitch us.
We pay between $0.15 and $0.25 per word for print pieces, depending on the section and the amount of reporting required. We always work out pay with writers before assigning. We mostly hire Middle Tennessee writers but will consider those from outside the state for some stories.
