I am really excited for our LGBTQ+ gaming week. Please send your pitches to our gaming editor before September 1 (or me, and I'll forward).
CALL FOR PITCHES:
In September, we will be hosting a LGBTQ+ Gaming week. We'll be commissioning a bunch of freelance pieces surrounding LGBTQ+ in (and around) games.
If you have any burning pitches that fit around this - and that typically TR maybe wouldn't take—then please pitch me. Also, because I'm a white cis woman, our US computing editor, Bill Thomas, will be assisting with the curation of pieces.
This is something I'm really proud to be doing and will be the first of our themed weeks.
We do have a limit on how many we can publish, so we'll be capping the number we can put up. Probably at 14.
Also, try and get your pitches in before September 1 if possible. This won't be a one off so don't worry if your piece doesn't get picked.
It's worth noting, we won't be replying to these pitches straight away, as we will need time to collate and review them all. So don't panic if you don't hear soon! But I will make sure to reply to everyone so they know if their pitch has been accepted.
Our rate is £140 for 1000 words.
The deadline for pitches is August 31 and we'll let you know if your piece has been selected shortly after. The official week for LGBTQ+ Gaming Week is the week commencing September 21.
