What was the moment you experienced a political awakening? How did this translate into renewed engagement in political life? What were the specific circumstances that caused you to realize that your vote matters, that democracy requires your involvement?
Transformations seeks personal essays keyed to the topic of political awakening or transformation. Please submit a complete essay, between 400-600 words, that tells your story of political awakening by 10/18. Selected writers will be paid an honorarium for publication. Initial rates are quite modest for now. $50-$100 per essay.
