SecureStrux is looking to expand our marketing team with a content marketing writer and strategist. Ourprimary marketingfocus is building brand awareness and thought leadership in the Defense Industrial Base. As this is more established, we will add in a focus on lead generation and account-based marketing.

Our client base is spread across from small manufacturing and service companies to fortune 100 aerospace and defense companies.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- SecureStrux is looking for a skilled content writer to create engaging content that will connect with and cybersecurity and compliance individuals that work for companies in the Defense Industrial Base. Our audience spans the entire breadth of small manufacturing and service companies to fortune 100 aerospace and defense companies
- Most of our content revolves around highly specific technical services and the need to meet DoD/DCSA compliance requirements
- You should be comfortable researching, creating strategy, and writing for this type of industry. A background in compliance or IT services will be a big plus and simplify the learning curve
- This marketing specialist will manage all written content we are and will create for organization purposes and includes taking responsibility for our inbound marketing and brand awareness tactics, including:Website content (Create new, update, optimize)

Social Media Publishing
Blog writing

Printed Collateral - You will develop engaging content to generate website traffic and convert it into marketing and sales qualified leads
- You should understand and match our brand voice, and keep our content consistent with that voice across the different mediums
- Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types, and proofreading content before publication
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Content Marketing Strategist responsibilities include:
- Growing organic traffic to our website through on-site content creation and optimization, guest blogging, and other off-site content creation items and collaborating with and supporting our SEO agency in their technical SEO and link building efforts. (Users up 47% in the last six months vs. previous period)
- You will be crafting and optimizing our website content to increase conversions of website visitors
- Building and executing email marketing strategies to nurture marketing and sales qualified leads and maintain awareness of our services among our existing client base
- You will be growing our overall brand awareness in the Defense Industrial Base.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute the content marketing plan in tandem with the overall marketing strategy
- Identify gaps in our content and recommend new topics
- Design content marketing strategies and set short-term goals
- Undertake content marketing initiatives to achieve organization targets
- Develop editorial calendar, complete tasks, work with sub-contractors, the technical team, and agencies, and ensure deadlines are met
- Develop new content such as website, blog posts, press releases, brochures, social media, emails, and video scripts
- Edit, proofread, and improve the content
- Optimize content considering SEO and Google Analytics
- Share content through various channels, ensuring strong web presence
- Receive client feedback and generate ideas to increase client engagement
- Manage the social media calendar and assist with writing content for social media
- Schedule social media posts
- Responsible for editing and proofreading materials to ensure copy supports organization brand voice and messaging
- Create style guides to use as a reference
- Proofread and edit written pieces before publication
- Conduct keyword and SEO research to understandclients' needs
- Monitor web traffic and engagement (e.g. conversions and bounce rates)
- Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
- Follow industry-related news and generate ideas around trending topics
- Review and update published content as needed
- Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews, and studies)

REQUIREMENTS:
- Four (4) + years' experience as a Content Marketing Specialist/Strategist, Content Writer, or similar role
- Proficiency in:
- MS Office
- WordPress
- SEMRush or AHRefs
- Google Keyword Planner/Google Search Console
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English
- Hands-on experience with SEO and web traffic metrics
- Expertise in social media platforms
- Project management skills and attention to detail
- Experience doing research using multiple sources
