We are seeking an experienced writer with a background in writing about industrial equipment and technology solutions for oil & gas and/or manufacturing B2B publications. Some recent examples of technically complex topics include software development and implementation, petrochemical refining, and automated orbital welding. We are looking for a writer who can hit the ground running, researching (which in some cases, includes interviewing subject matter experts we would provide) and/or drawing from professional, hands-on experience to deliver easily digestible and informative content.

REQUIREMENTS:

Previous B2B writing or publication experience with a proven track record of independent research and content development.

Technical knowledge about/interest in learning more about:

mechanical engineering, systems & maintenance
B2B software development and application
the oil & gas, welding, and/or industrial equipment industries Can translate complex technical topics into digestible, thought leaderly articles for both potential customers and industry partners
Great at deep technical research and learning new industry facets and products on a weekly basis
Punctuality, professionalism, and excellent time management skills.
A reliable internet connection and computer.
Positive and energetic attitude.

DUTIES:

Write well-researched, engaging, and insightful articles for web publication.
Work collaboratively with your editors and campaign managers to ensure every deliverable meets our high editorial standard and is perfected ahead of its due date.
Interview subject matter experts from our clients’ teams or our own to gain the information and insights needed for your content
Conduct keyword research to develop titles for your blogs that help internet users find your work (Google Analytics experience is a plus, though not required).
Generate topics, editorial calendars, and sample articles for new and existing accounts.
Prepare for and participate in client meetings as needed.
Discover each client’s business needs and propose appropriate topics and articles.
Go beyond the basics: identify new opportunities for research and development and share ideas with your editor and account executive to add progressive value to each account.

SALARY & BENEFITS:

This is a full-time telecommuting position with a starting salary range of $55,000 to $62,000 annually. First Page Sage offers health, dental and vision, and retirement benefits. We also offer 2 weeks of paid time off, 2 weeks of sick time, and standard company holidays.

OUR PROCESS:

Candidates who successfully complete the paid writing sample and its revision will be invited to a video conference interview with several members of our team.
