I am the new Director of Editorial for a lifestyle brand focused on sustainable and kind living—for EVERYONE looking to learn more about how their food/consumer/behavior choices impact the world. Seeking freelance writers in the following areas:

Experienced news writers who can work on-call for breaking news
Subject matter experts in
- Environment/Sustainability (and how it intersects with everything)
- Vegan/Cruelty-Free Beauty, Skincare and Fashion
- Science and Business (and how each intersects with our verticals).
Occasional entertainment/celebrity reporting centered on plant-based celebs and sustainability-focused Entertainment & Media
I am also looking for subject-matter experts to cover the intersections of food justice, climate justice, social justice, and the cultural history of plant-based diets (and ideally looking for members within these communities to report from that POV).

Rates TBD per assignment (and news writers likely work on a contract) but the range is $100 for shortest news posts (the 10-minute deadline piece, if you will) to $500, and will be updated as we expand content types and offerings.
