It's my honor to announce the launch of a new publication from Medium covering science through the lens of human survival. We ask: What needs to be done now for humans—of all races, classes, and genders— to make it to the future?
The world we’ve created is threatening the survival of our species in an unprecedented way. It’s into this world that the publication is born.
This is NOT a publication for pie-in-the-sky ideas, like sending rich folks to Mars or cryogenically freezing ourselves until all of this blows over. The publication is about real people doing real things to make sure all of us will survive and thrive.
We launch with a provocative new feature about new gene therapies with the potential to end inherited deafness. As we develop these incredible tools, we must ensure we use them wisely.
