Remote Staff Writer wanted | $45,000-$55,000 per year

Ring Ring Marketing is hiring a staff writer. This is a full-time position with competitive salary and comprehensive benefits, and the work will be done remotely.

Along with working with a great team at RRM, this is a great opportunity for professional development. This employee will work with, and be mentored by, an elite professional writer/editor with 30 years of experience in both high-level marketing and journalism.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree (preferably in English, communications, or journalism)
• Minimum three years' professional writing experience. The ideal candidate will also have some level of experience specifically with writing advertisements, digital marketing, and journalism.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

RESULTS DESCRIPTION:

• Assist the content/communications director with a wide variety of writing needs, including (but not limited to) copy for marketing campaigns and advertisements, press releases, B2B and B2C emails, lead generation copy, Google and Facebook ads, social media posts, and other business and personal branding content.
• Create accurate, interesting, high-converting website copy for clients and business partners.
• Interview clients and business partners (as needed) to learn more about their businesses and/or campaigns and thus deliver personalized, unique content.
• Work well with the CEO, content/communications director, marketing director and graphics designer (and others) to understand their expectations and clearly communicate their vision through the written word.

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to craft copy that's concise, informed, and precisely targeted to the particular audience for the campaign.
• Ability to employ a voice that is promotional without being overly salesy and never cheesy. Our content is typically more educational/informative than a "hard sell," so a balanced tone is imperative. (A good sense of humor also helps.)
• Exceptional spelling and grammar. This position requires skillful writing and editing, and the optimal candidate will be meticulous in these areas.
• Experience with—and a very strong understanding of—AP Style, along with knowledge of current standards for capitalization, hyphenation, punctuation, etc.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
