Pitches wanted (science, the future, urban design, etc.) | 75 cents to $1 per word

CALL FOR PITCHES: We are working to create strange new writing about science. Are you a writer specializing in creative non-fiction essays about science? I'd like to hear about it.
I have no particular subjects in mind, but I'm always into stuff about THE FUTURE of stuff, whatever that means to you. Genetic engineering, urban design, space exploration, geology, oceanography, evolution. But, strange stories about THE PAST OF SCIENCE are also welcome. Strange, funny, emotive, hit me with whatever you got.
Depending on experience and the size of the article, the rate is $.75-$1 per word. There's no real minimum, but max let's say 3000 words. This is a trial project and our initial overall budget is small, but I'm hoping to expand if all goes well the first few months.
