Parker Tide is a veteran-owned, small business operating in DC. We serve as a value-partner to the government. We currently have a Copyeditor position available with one of our clients in DC. This individual will provide editorial services for a wide range of products developed by OIG’s audit, investigation, and management offices.

Current Active Secret Security Clearance
Hourly Rate: $43.38 per hour (includes health and welfare)
Bachelor’s Degree Required
Period of performance is one year with three option years
Place of Performance: 100% Telework
20 hours per week; flexible schedule.

DUTIES

Edit all content (text, lists, tables, and graphics) for clarity, conciseness, consistency, plain language, flow, and organization.
Correct typos and other errors related to grammar, style, word usage, parallel structure, and other mechanics of writing in accordance with provided editorial style guidelines.
Identify and correct format issues including applying established formatting styles in documents and using formatting styles to create or update tables of contents.
Use tracked changes, posing questions where clarification is needed, and suggesting possible fixes.
Consult with the client via email or phone to resolve comprehensive questions early and efficiently.
Complete work within established timeframes.

QUALIFICATIONS

5 years of expertise in copyediting and formatting in Microsoft Word.
Experience with copyediting performance audits, annual and semiannual reports, work plans, advisory memoranda, handbooks, policies, forms, templates, and booklets
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficient writing and communications skill.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
