Pitches wanted (sports, Bay Area) | $150-$300 per story

The sports section is punting (sports term) on gamers and instead focusing on features, essays, hot takes that are fun rather than obnoxious, & investigative sports stories — usually but not always with a Bay Area connection.
I'm especially interested in stories that are sports/fitness adjacent.
We typically pay $150-$300 per story. Obviously wiggle room on that if you've got a deeply reported pitch. Even if you don't have something in mind quite yet, say hi and send over some clips so I can keep you in mind for stuff.
