We’re currently looking for a Freelance Business Writer to contribute articles in an ongoing role to ThriveThroughData.com, a new e-publication launching in 2021. The expected length of each article is between 1200-1800 words. Payment for each article, upon acceptance, is $200.

WHY ARE WE LOOKING?

We’re launching our ThriveThroughData.com e-publication in Q1 of 2021, and are looking to add intelligent, entertaining voices to our stable of business writers.

As part of the Blue Margin content team, you’ll be researching and sharing data-intelligence insights with top-level leaders of American industry, affecting the way our nation’s largest corporations do business. You’ll be a thought leader, and your words will have impact far beyond what you see.

We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create high quality, well-researched, and entertaining business articles as assigned by the Publications Director.
• Adhere to writer’s guidelines for ThriveThroughData.com, both written and verbal.
• Contribute, as appropriate, to planning and brainstorming.
• Implement SEO best-practices for content creation.
• Never. Miss. A. Deadline. Period.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, Marketing, or other related fields.
• Experience in writing for publication, with writing samples available upon request.
• Working knowledge of business functions and data intelligence, with an interest to learn more.

COMPETENCIES

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Strong research and content organization skills.
• Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Unmatched skill in written communications.
• Ability to meet deadlines with quality, all the time, every time.
• Teachable attitude (required).

SALARY AND CONTRACT DETAILS

• Work-for-hire contract.
• $200 per article, payable upon acceptance.
