Starting next week, I'm the arts editor. I can't wait to see what's next, and I want your pitches—reviews, features, deeper takes on big D.C. arts news. Looking especially at the end of the year.
We pay in a range, usually between $100–$250 for arts reviews, features, and Q&As. We also pay $25 for 200 word picks that recommend things to do in the D.C. area. We're commissioning fewer pieces weekly now that we're printing a paper monthly, so writers are encouraged to pitch stories in advance.
