SEO Writers wanted (worldwide) | $350+ per article

COMPANY/PUBLICATION: SKILLCRUSH 

Skillcrush is looking for a freelance SEO writer to contribute articles to our blog. This is a freelance opportunity for an experienced SEO content writer with a background in the tech space, especially SaaS, edtech, and coding education.

The writer will work directly with the head of content at Skillcrush to write SEO-optimized content directed at beginners looking to learn to code and make a career change into tech. The head of content will provide an outline to work from for most posts. (Initial keyword research is not required for this project.)

ARTICLES WILL COVER TOPICS SUCH AS:

• What tech beginners need to know to understand programming languages and tech job roles
• What skills beginners need to learn to get hired in tech
• What projects you can create using different programming languages
• How women and BIPOC in particular can navigate the process of learning tech skills and getting hired in the industry
• How to decide between coding schools

YOU’RE A GOOD FIT FOR THIS ROLE IF:

• You’re a strong writer with experience writing SEO content.
• You have a portfolio of work to demonstrate your skill as a writer and your understanding of SEO.
• You write content that answers readers questions and solves problems for them (in other words, it’s not about keyword stuffing).
• You have experience digging into SEO opportunities, including using tools such as Clearscope, researching competitor content, analyzing SERPs, and identifying content gaps in order to write the best post possible.
• You have experience updating and republishing articles to boost search rankings.
• You always submit drafts on time, and are upfront about when you’re stuck or need help.
• You’re comfortable doing necessary research, including interviewing experts, finding reputable sources (like orgs, data, and reliable studies), etc.
• You’re open to feedback and make revisions in a timely manner.
• You’re passionate about online education and the tech industry.
• You’re committed to empowering women and BIPOC in your work and interactions with others.

Project Rates: $350+ per article, to be agreed to on a project-to-project basis in advance with the head of content
