Remote Content Writer wanted | $155,000-$165,000 per year

I am looking for a full time Content Writer to join the Engineering team.

This position is 100% REMOTE.

Salary is $155-$165k.

In this position, you will be responsible for defining the content strategy and positioning for Engineering. You will engage and work closely with their engineers and product teams and develop a thought leadership mindset. You will support content creation (technical blogs, videos, social media, talks) and build a strong engineering community around the company. You are able to combine your passion for writing with a strong knowledge of software development and technology. You are strategic, creative, and pragmatic; a people person who gets excited about educating and coaching others in developing their writing and speaking skills and see them shine.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Define and enforce strategy and goals at the team level, clarifying priorities.
• Work on in-depth and engaging content pieces, from technical guides to industry-related articles.
• Follow hot topics and trends to position Engineering on the bleeding edge.
• Actively collaborate with product and engineering experts to develop ideas that we should share with the software development community at large.
• Define and implement a distribution and communication plan to drive awareness and engagement from the broader software development community.
• You support the growth of the people on the team, coaching junior team members.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• You have done this kind of work before.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English, with superb communication skills.
• An expert in content writing and editing, and experience in establishing and executing content strategy for large and complex tech companies.
• Interest (and ideally experience) in software development, and an understanding of programming languages.
• Ability to analyze data, and eager to find opportunities to use the data and user insights to make recommendations on where to improve user experiences, and solve problems.
• Comfortable with a fast-paced work environment and able to embrace iterative product development. You react well to feedback.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with a keen eye for consistency and a high level of attention to detail.
