Founders of FitSmallBusiness.com and TheClose.com are launching a new SEO website and online community for sales professionals, writing long-form articles helping salespeople and sales managers supercharge their careers. Our overall goal is to deliver the best answers to salespeople’s questions and increase the quality of information on the Internet.

We are currently looking for North American-based freelance tech writers to work with our editor and draft long-form articles related to sales technology such as CRM software, sales management software, lead generation software, and more. Article types will typically be detailed comparative guides and product reviews, but may also include how-to’s, ultimate guides, and more.

Article topics will be assigned to freelance writers along with a rough outline on a brief call with the editor where article expectations are set. From there, freelancers will write a first draft of the article and complete 1-2 rounds of edits as necessary, based on editor feedback. Articles process should take roughly 1-2 weeks for a fully completed and edited article.

Ideal candidates will have previous tech writing experience, with the ability to write and deliver detailed articles with defined deadlines and limited edit feedback. However, strong candidates with only tech or only writing backgrounds will be considered. Ideal candidates should also be motivated self-starters with the capacity to write 1-2 weekly articles.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Write 1-2 weekly long-form sales tech articles based on editor assignments
Complete first draft and between 1-2 round of edits for each article
Meet all agreed deadlines for first drafts and article edits
Source expert quotes, screenshots, or images as needed to enhance articles
Responsible for the quality and accuracy of each article written

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous tech writing experience ideal
Will consider strong candidates with backgrounds in only tech or writing
Knowledge of SEO best practices a plus
Must be able to deliver quality articles with accurate and in-depth information
