Work from Home
OVERVIEW

Ideal for someone with journalism experience who has switched to content and digital marketing. Must be an outstanding writer and communicator with a keen eye for story and story structure, particularly for business audiences with varied interests, needs and goals.
Content is generally developed as a group, written as an individual, but then edited again in collaboration. So ability to work as a team, think critically, and contribute conceptual ideas is vital, while also not taking ownership and critique too personally.
This role will also be responsible for fundamental social media marketing and asset management, with outstanding opportunities for growth.
Responsible for developing and maintaining the content creation calendar, as well as developing plans and strategies for reaching (awareness, lead gen, engagement) various target audiences through social media, digital marketing and other content marketing channels.
Sfara is an established technology startup focused on safety-of-life solutions, with experienced leaders, offering an opportunity to grow and prosper.

The majority of the job is to develop content that motivates engagement and then to get that content in front of appropriate, targeted audiences. - Engage in social listening and report results.
Writing & content creation
- Write effective content across many tactics and formats: social posts, blog articles, video scripts, white papers, web pages, training and marketing materials.
- Develop and maintain content/messaging guidelines, roadmaps and social calendars.
- Able to combine a headline with an image to create interest and additional meaning or understanding.
- Must be good at one of the following and great at the other (although being great at both is certainly a plus):Come up with highly effective conceptual ideas for content that attracts audiences.
Write clearly articulated content using straight-forward, concrete language that is well structured and adheres to basic copywriting principles. - Conduct online research to identify habits and build personas of targeted groups, as well as keep an eye on the competition.
- Ability to assist with the editing of own work and that of others.
- An eye for design is a plus.
WHAT IF YOU DON’T HAVE EVERYTHING WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
We’re reasonable people. The job market is tight. Nobody is getting everything they want in a candidate. If you take a look at yourself and determine you’ve got the experience, plus what it takes to step up in areas where you aren’t as strong, then apply. We’ll give you a look. If there is a preference on skillsets, it would be for someone who effectively works the social media and content marketing landscape, is a good conceptual thinker, and a reasonably decent writer (with the capability to grow under supervision).
