Pitches wanted (independent media) | ~45-50 cents per word

I am, somehow, beginning to fill our January editorial schedule. Which means I'm looking for pitches! Know of an independent media outlet doing something cool? I want a story on it.
We look for pieces around 600-700 words, and pay $400 per story. I'd strongly recommend you check out some past issues before pitching
