The Immigration Team at Outside GC is seeking an experienced writer to assist our busy business immigration practice with drafting and preparation of employer support letters on a contract basis. This is a flexible and rewarding part-time opportunity, and an ideal position for someone who appreciates work/life balance and the ability to work from home. You will remotely support two senior immigration attorneys based in Massachusetts on an as-needed basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work closely with senior immigration attorneys to support our busy business immigration practice by preparing employer support letters and RFE response letters for nonimmigrant petitions (H-1Bs, E-3s, L-1s, E-2s, O-1s, TNs, etc.) and immigrant petitions (EB-1, EB-2 and EB-3 I-140s) for our clients’ foreign national employees.
Incorporate facts and documentary evidence into clear and persuasive content to be reviewed by immigration officers.
Not responsible for client contact and/or case management duties.

Required Skills and Experience:

At least 3-4 years of business immigration writing experience, including strong experience preparing employer support letters for nonimmigrant status applications (H-1Bs, E-3s, L-1s, E-2s, O-1s, TNs) and immigrant status (EB-1, EB-2 and EB-3 I-140s) for foreign nationals; experience with EB-2 NIW Petitions is a plus;
Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university required; JD from an ABA accredited law school preferred;
Advanced legal writing skills; and
Must be organized, responsive, detail-oriented, able to work independently and take ownership for projects, and have excellent follow-through skills.
