Pitches wanted for 'Voices' issue | 20 cents per word

It's that time again. This is a call for pitches thread for the Summer 2021 issue. The theme is called "Voices" and will be about vocal techniques, singing tools, voices of dissent, etc. in roots music. It's due out mid-May through mid-August.
All print stories feature long-form (1.5-5k words), multi-sourced reporting (i.e. no essays, reviews, thinkpieces, lists). Please also try to find a loose time peg. I only need 2-5 more stories based on length/depth, so get at me ASAP.
A couple other bits: The rate is 20¢ per word (we're published by a nonprofit; the rate is not negotiable at this time). Editorial deadlines are throughout February and into March. Please EMAIL me pitches with 3 of your best clips. My contact info is on the site.
