I am editing features. Please send me all your pitches for big stories and essays about being or becoming or considering or deciding not to become a parent, in the most expansive sense of the word. Rate varies so wildly but generally: $200 for beginning writers all the way up to $1/word for profiles/reported pieces. Sweet spot is personal essays in 1000-word range for $400.
