Hey female beer writers!
I’ll be guest editing our Women in Beer Issue (April/May). I’m looking for 2 unique stories (1,500 and 750 words) about women in the beer industry, specific to the New England/New York region. Read last year’s Women in Beer issue to get familiar with the publication.
The topic is inspired by March 8’s International Women’s Day and the Pink Boots Society’s collaboration brew on the same date. This is a celebration of women in beer, but I’m picturing more than fluffy feel-good pieces but an honest look at women in the beer industry. The publisher made an effort this year to put content decisions in female hands, so I’d really love to go beyond your typical women in beer stories and get some fresh ideas on the subject.
This is a paid opportunity, though I’ll be upfront, the pay is about 10-15 cents/word, could be a great opportunity for new writers. Looking for some diverse voices.
