Tom Anderson, Editorial Director of Rep Cap, is looking for a writer:

Rep Cap, a content marketing agency that specializes in creating and promoting editorial content for B2B brands, is seeking a freelance writer with experience in finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Reporting and writing articles, blog posts and white papers on a variety of financial topics, for use by our company and clients.
• Identifying data, research, subject matter experts and other sources for your writing.
• Interviewing clients, subject matter experts and other human sources to gather information for your writing.
• Reviewing industry materials and doing additional research for your writing.
• Helping to develop topic ideas for articles, blog posts and white papers.
• Necessary skills and qualifications:
• Outstanding reporting and writing skills.
• Knowledge of AP Style.
• Ability to produce high-quality work while consistently meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently. Our team works from various cities around the country and you will receive instructions and feedback via phone, email, instant message, Skype, etc.
• The ideal candidate will have:
• 3 or more years of experience as a writer at a mainstream news or industry publication.
• Demonstrated experience writing financial content.
• Experience working with clients for non-journalism writing projects.

COMPENSATION:

We pay on a project basis. Generally, it runs 50 cents per word for lightly reported articles, $1 per word for reported pieces, and more for data-driven research and complicated projects. As a freelancer for nearly a decade, I strongly believe in fair and timely pay.
