Attention experienced features writers seeking a huge platform, resources, and top notch editing: Your dream job is here. The ideal person for this job is someone who sees great heat-seeking stories everywhere, loves nitty gritty reporting (is masterful at source persuasion), and is the person who tells stories at parties that make people step an inch closer to hear better. They can write like hell.

FEATURES WRITER

Insider is looking to hire a full-time features writer to focus on long-form, narrative-driven articles.

The features writer will pen the most talked about articles of the year. It doesn't matter whether it’s a business story, sports story, profile, investigation, or true crime tale — as long as it is compelling, timely and heat-seeking.

AS A FEATURES WRITER YOU WILL:

Be a well-seasoned journalist who has extensive experience reporting
Be comfortable with cold-calling sources
Regularly pitch must-read articles
Have a pulse on what is happening in tech, politics, society, Hollywood, etc.
Have a cache of trusted sources
Have considerable experience writing long-form journalism
Be responsible for writing articles that will vary in length from 3,000 to 10,000 plus words
