Abstractions Magazine is seeking (500-800 word) personal essays about abstract art from Black & Brown artists/curators/collectors/art lovers for our upcoming print issue. Selected essays will be paid. For these 500-800 personal essays, we are paying $200-$250 at this time.

Tessera Arts Collective is seeking submissions from artists, collectors and art lovers for our art publication, Abstractions Magazine.
Abstractions is a digital & bi-annual print publication offering in-depth profiles of women & non-binary artists of color creating abstract work alongside editorials, essays, and reviews on abstraction from curators, collectors, and critics of color.
We are seeking short (500-800 word) personal essays that:
- reflects on what you love about abstraction, what it means to you, or how it helps to shape your understanding of life/history/creativity, or your relationship with it;
- reflects on 1-3 favorite works by Black & Brown womxn & non-binary artists.
