WRITING STYLE

57° Magazine is currently seeking polished writers with literary voices for freelance assignments. We are interested in writers who can tell a story in a succinct yet engaging way. Writers should possess a passion for language and the ability to meet publication deadlines. QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong understanding of grammar, punctuation, and writing mechanics.
• Avoid dangling modifiers, passive voice, and have a strong understanding of parallel structure.
• Proficiency of Chicago Style
• Creative writing that includes the use of allegory and the ability to intelligently apply anecdotes.
• Experience writing culinary, wine, hospitality, and persona profiles.
• Adherence to deadlines is a must
• Writers must live in the San Francisco Bay Area or Napa/Sonoma areas and be familiar with the area.
• Willingness to do in-person interviews once it is safe to do so.

PAY
