I'm back at work, which means I am taking pitches again! Send me your thoughts on poverty and inequality. I want your reported features, cultural commentaries, and select personal essays. Our rates vary, but start at $250.
Please take your time! This is not a limited-time offer and you don't need to race to get something in. I don't need a detailed reporting plan, but I do want you to tell me why you're the person to write this piece, and to show me that you have sources and research lined up.
I am especially interested in: pieces on hidden consequences of policies or cultural attitudes; coverage of marginalised groups in the pandemic; and labour organising. We don't have the capacity for fast turnaround or breaking news type pieces.
Lastly, we only cover domestic (US) issues.
