I am always taking pitches on cookbook-adjacent topics.
Things I’m into: a guide to the cookbooks of a particular culture or genre of cookbooks, a deep dive into a weird/rare/lesser known but great cookbook, Q&As, critical explorations of What Is a Recipe, Exactly?, histories, personal essays, et.
Rates are between $200 and $300, depending on research required. All pieces < 1000 words. Not currently taking cookbook review pitches because I can’t afford to reimburse ingredients for testing but am working towards that.
