Moving.com is a leading website that helps connect consumers with moving companies to give them all the information they need to make the process successful, affordable and even fun. We are part of the Realtor.com network, owned by News Corporation, and we are seeking a top-notch, experienced writer to help us curate and create original content for our site. Your primary role will be to help establish our editorial voice and improve user acquisition and engagement across the site via regular consumer-targeted articles and guides. You’ll work independently with direction from our product team to make sure all of these goals are met and the language is cohesive across all campaigns. We are poised for growth and we’re looking for a great self-starter with the finely-honed editorial chops to help us get there.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Produce original service content for Moving.com that is smart, well reported, accurate, and targeted to a wide readership
Develop a voice for our site that is professional, friendly, and fits with our brand image
Review and edit all current site copy for Moving.com
Create detailed and engaging guides to help users who are planning to move
Create data driven Press Release content
Generate topic ideas that would interest locals in our targeted markets

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

2+ years’ experience writing engaging and consumer-facing copy
Experience with web publishing
Experience writing for blogs
Strong sense of self-motivation, ability to work independently and accurately
Excellent proofreading skills
Detail-oriented personality
Comfortable with deadline-driven environment
Experience writing about moving, real estate, housing, or rentals strongly preferred but not essential
Some working knowledge of basic SEO best practices

PAY RATE (TIERED BASED ON CONTENT LENGTH)
