Remote Marketing Writer wanted for technology products | $75-$85 per hour

Callan Consulting is a boutique marketing consulting company located in the San Francisco Bay Area, serving the needs of Silicon Valley clients since 2000. We focus on a broad range of strategic and tactical marketing services for our clients, ranging from marketing strategy to new product launches, to sales enablement, research, and content creation.

Our model relies on the use of 1099 subcontractors, and we bring subcontractors in on a project-by-project basis. We have relationships with many subcontractors that span years, and we keep them busy 75% or more of their time. Other subcontractors are brought in for specific, one-time projects. But our needs are growing and if you're adding value to clients, we would love to keep bringing you into projects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Write white papers, product collateral, datasheets, case studies, battlecards, and other sales enablement materials
• Create messaging designed to be read by business decision makers, and to articulate the value provided by our clients’ technology products and offerings
• Develop sales decks
• Gather and assess client background/discovery materials
• Perform secondary/web-based research to support materials development

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in writing and marketing materials development for (B2B) technology products
• Strong background creating marketing content designed to appeal to business decision makers for (B2B) technology offerings
• Ability to articulate business value proposition stories as well as the technical underpinnings of that story
• Familiarity with SaaS, technology vendor, mobile, and/or social media markets
• Strong plus to have familiarity with technical areas such as Public Key Encryption (PKI), sales enablement, and/or electronic signature
• Ability to develop figures and graphs to illustrate the story a strong plus
• Self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a project team
• Must be detail oriented, self-sufficient, accurate, and timely
• Must be able to work to specific deadlines and deliver results and analysis according to project schedules
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
