Writer wanted for TTRPG company | $100+ per article

COMPANY/PUBLICATION: TOURGUIDE GAMES

We seek a Content Marketing Writer to join our marketing team to produce blog posts, guides, and marketing copy featured at the Company website, in email newsletters, and in other marketing channels and materials. Content will vary in length, with blog posts approximately 500 to 750 words in length.

Content Marketing Writer responsibilities include conducting thorough research on tabletop role playing game (TTRPG) industry-related topics, fact checking, and proofreading articles before publication; the Company will provide Content Writer an assigned list of content to write, with the possibility for editorial input to be considered once assigned articles have been published. Ultimately, the Content Marketing Writer will deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, attract customers, and boost brand awareness.

This position reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Writing clear marketing copy to promote our products/services;
• Proofreading and editing blog posts before publication;
• Submitting work to CMO for input and approval;
• Conducting simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic;
• Ensuring consistency (style, fonts, images and tone), aligned with brand voice;
• Updating website content as needed.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IT WELL

• Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role
• Portfolio of published articles
• Experience doing research using multiple sources
• Familiarity with web publications
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English
• Ability to meet deadlines
• A sense of humor, with the ability to delight and enthrall

Bonus Extra Credit Skills

• Familiarity with online TTRPG community and social media universe
• Experience with distributed work platforms including GSuite, Trello, and Slack

HOW YOU’LL GET PAID

The Content Marketing Writer will be paid a flat rate of $100.00 per article for the initial round of assigned content to be created. After the first assigned round of articles, compensation for future content to be negotiated with the Company at competitive market rates.
