SitePoint is looking for paid writers to share their perspectives and experience on a variety of career-oriented topics for engineers, from getting your first job to navigating your professional career as a developer. Our typical reader is a developer with experience and talent looking to match their background and skills against real-world work opportunities, perhaps to explore options in high tech, to transition into a new role, or advance their careers.

Keep in mind that our readership is educated and comfortable with technical concepts, so they will expect articles that are well-written and don't talk down to them. We publish a lot of hands-on tutorials and technology deep dives in addition. For these articles our readers will be looking for valuable targeted career advice that will still be relevant for months or years to come.

We are primarily looking at 3 types of articles:

Training and Certification for Technical Careers
Interview Preparation for Career Objectives
Career Planning and Options for Engineering Professionals

Some example articles include "Will Bootcamps Prepare You for Real Engineering Work?", "Transitioning From Engineer to Scrum Master" and "Front-End Engineering Interview Preparation"
The pay for each article is $200-250 depending on the length and complexity, with a target word count of 2,000 to 3,000. SitePoint only publishes unique content, and we retain editorial control on articles.
