We’re looking for automotive freelance writers to create useful and compelling content for automotive consumers. You’re passionate about cars and love to geek out on the details, whether it’s automotive tech or the nitty-gritty process around purchasing, financing or selling cars. You’re an experienced writer who can work under deadlines and can regularly submit clean, accurate copy. You love to help people and make sure others have the best possible information at-hand to make informed decisions about their next vehicle, one of the biggest purchases most people make in their lives.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a wide variety of automotive content (generally 1,000–3,000 word articles), including (a) first-look reviews, (b) automotive tech, (c) car culture, (d) buyers guides, (e) ownership and maintenance, and (f) planning a purchase. We will draw from a number of content formats: timely tips, expert recommendations, in-depth buyers guides and detailed help guides. We’re open to suggestions.
WHAT WE PAY
We pay ($0.15/word) for writers with demonstrable experience writing in this space (or in an adjacent vertical). We have a steady stream of content we’re producing on a variety of automotive topics, usually ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 words.
If you’re interested, please PM with details. A byline and some initial samples would be useful at this stage. This first exchange will give us a chance to review and address any questions you might have, as well! Provided there's a fit we'll collect some more information and begin the onboarding process!
