Call for pitches: I’m the Ideas editor for a startup newsroom covering international technology. We are looking for opinion journalism that advances an argument about tech that is somehow new. Pieces can be evergreen or news-driven.
We pay above market rate for op-eds. I’m particularly eager to read: Arguments related to e-commerce, labor or labor markets / the future of work, social media and online culture, and/or the impact of big tech in places that aren’t the US, Canada, Europe, NZ, and Australia.
I'm also looking for ideas pieces tied to the Worldwide Developers Conference. Are you a developer? Are you connected with a community of developers outside of the Western bubble? What unique local challenges are these developers addressing? How is this new?
We are eager to work with writers based in the regions we cover. Feel free to share widely, and be sure to read our site for more examples of what we’re looking for.
Our rates for op-eds (generally 800-900 words) start at $500, but it depends a bit on the scope of the piece.
