CCRcorp is well known for providing practical guidance and tools to corporate governance and executive compensation professionals, “direct from the experts.” We have been advising our members on the board oversight, disclosure and shareholder engagement aspects of growing demands for workforce diversity, equity and inclusion – but it is clear there is also a need to address and guide professionals who are working in the trenches to improve corporate outcomes.

CCRcorp is opening a new market to provide practical, usable information about implementing, measuring and reporting progress on DEI initiatives, as well as other “social” initiatives relating to the role of corporations in society. The audience for the DEI content includes diversity officers, other HR professionals, legal advisors, governance & sustainability professionals, CEOs and directors. We are currently looking for someone who would lead the DEI aspect of this coverage, including by organizing a DEI-focused conference.

Who you are: a deep passion for diversity and ensuring inclusion of all people; well-connected within the Human Resources/DEI area with a large network who you feel comfortable tapping to share their insights; ability to lead, guide and provide the tools that enable decision makers to address these issues; enjoy communicating and educating through written materials, blogs, webcasts and thought leadership; experience that assures our audience that you understand the practicalities of their day-to-day jobs and can be trusted to provide reliable advice.

Initially you would organize a DEI-focused conference, and use the course materials from that conference to create content available to website subscribers. This would include checklists and potentially longer-form newsletter articles. You would also identify particularly compelling, public third-party content that would be valuable to our website subscribers – you would add that to the site and run a short blog (blog ~3-4x/month). You would also respond to occasional questions on a Q&A forum, or farm those anonymously to your network.

This is a new market that requires the ability to create “products” that are practical and relevant, using a nationwide platform. You must have the inner drive and passion that comes with the development of opening a new market. You would need to work independently in identifying important topics and organizing the conference, but also be open to collaboration with our internal team and with external contributors.

This role will evolve over time depending on the demands of potential members and changing laws. You would share responsibility with our full-time ESG Editor for organizing “practice area” portals on specific aspects of DEI topics, and our full-time ESG Editor would also be providing support on the Q&A forum, blogging, and collecting content. We expect your role would require a commitment of approximately 10 hours per week (some weeks may be more, some less).

This is an opportunity to develop an expert resource that provides guidance to others who share your commitment to diversity, equity & inclusion in the workplace, whether they are just starting out or already established in the field. In essence you would act as the “face” of the DEI thought leadership, infusing your knowledge and passion to issues that are relevant in today’s business world.
