I say to you again: I am seeking wrestling pitches.
If you don’t want to click through to the pitch document, I can tell you this:
- We’re pretty much set on modern WWE, AEW, and NJPW, unless you’ve got something extra spicy.
- The weirder the idea, the better.
- Personal essays need to have a really good hook.
By “weird idea” I mean “weird idea.” My most read articles are about Batista’s dick memes and Scott Steiner’s Shoney’s. Go nuts.
Pay rates vary based on the type of article and the degree of legwork, but:
- Simple, fun listicles/interviews usually start around $150
- Essays and op-eds usually go for around $200
- Features (anything that requires greater degrees of research, interviews, etc.) usually start around $250
