EMAIL COPYWRITER

Next Insurance is a fast-growing startup based in Silicon Valley that is led by a team of experienced entrepreneurs with a history of successful outcomes. Our mission is to transform insurance for small businesses by combining world-class technology and phenomenal customer service to offer better insurance at a lower price. We're looking for an experienced email copywriter and strategist who can help us improve and scale our lead generation and lifecycle marketing efforts.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with team leaders to build strategies and deliver content that delights customers. In this role, you will also write and edit email copy for a variety of campaigns for different audiences.

YOU SHOULD BE EQUALLY COMFORTABLE:

Breaking down complicated topics in Next’s brand voice with copy that inspires purchasing decisions
Collaborating on creative briefs with campaign owners, other stakeholders and copywriters
Working independently to bring campaigns to fruition
Responding to feedback and performance metrics
Providing feedback to additional contributors and freelance copywriters

Depending on the candidate’s experience, this role could also contribute to other copywriting projects in our marketing organization.

This is a remote, contract position that will start at 20-30 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Write and edit clear, engaging and delightful content that contributes to our business goals.
Work closely with our Direct Sales and Agents team leads to develop and execute campaigns
Manage freelance contributors and provide feedback
Respond to internal and external feedback and update copy, as needed
Continuously optimize copy to improve performance and meet business goals
Collaborate with our design team to source photography and create an optimal user experience
Occasionally contribute to other marketing channels, including UX copywriting, landing pages, etc.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

5+ years of experience editing and writing content for successful email campaigns
Proven experience using copy and content strategies to influence purchase decisions
Ability to create content that simplifies unfamiliar topics and delights users
Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
Strong collaborator who partners to drive the best results for the company
Attention to detail and ability to move quickly to edit and publish content
